The Club Director provides leadership, management, and oversight for all club operations. This position ensures a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth while achieving organizational goals related to program quality, membership growth, staff development, and community engagement.
QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Management


Provide overall leadership and management of club operations
Ensure daily club operations run efficiently and effectively
Monitor club enrollment, attendance, and membership goals
Manage club budget, purchasing, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with BGCGH policies and procedures


 

Safety & Risk Management


Lead all physical and emotional safety initiatives
Conduct safety walkthroughs and CARE Checks
Ensure emergency preparedness plans are implemented
Manage incident reporting and follow-up investigations
Maintain compliance with BGCA and organizational safety standards


 

Human Resources & Staff Management


Supervise and evaluate all club staff
Lead staff meetings and professional development
Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention
Manage staff schedules and performance expectations
Address employee relations concerns and corrective actions


 

Community Engagement


Represent BGCGH within the school and community
Build relationships with school administrators and key stakeholders
Support volunteer engagement efforts
Participate in community events and organizational initiatives


Club Performance & Accountability


Monitor key performance indicators (Membership, ADP, Capacity, Retention)
Ensure quality program implementation
Develop improvement plans when necessary
Maintain overall club culture and staff morale


 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Recreation, Youth Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
5 years of experience in youth development, education, recreation, or nonprofit management.
Supervisory and leadership experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with diverse populations and build positive relationships.
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license (CDL may be required based on vehicle standards), and be insurable.

RELATIONSHIPS:

 

Internal: Maintains close daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information.  Maintains close contact with Director of Operations and/or Manager of Operations.  Has regular contact with members as needed to discipline, advise and counsel.

 

External: Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club.
