What You'll Do

The Clinical Therapist provides intensive therapeutic services for adolescent males in a residential treatment setting while ensuring quality clinical care, treatment planning, and compliance with program standards.

Your responsibilities may include:

Clinical Services

  • Provide weekly individual therapy for an assigned caseload of approximately six clients.

  • Facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor client progress.

  • Provide clinical supervision while ensuring compliance with BARJ principles and best practices.

Assessment & Documentation

  • Complete treatment plans, clinical notes, and documentation using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

  • Conduct quarterly risk assessments, functional assessments, and PREA vulnerability assessments.

  • Complete managed care documentation, utilization reviews, and authorization packets.

Case Coordination

  • Maintain communication with juvenile probation officers, caseworkers, and treatment team members.

  • Prepare court reports and attend hearings as needed.

  • Provide testimony regarding client progress and treatment recommendations.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation several times each year.

  • Support the multidisciplinary treatment team.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree required.

Experience

  • Experience working with adolescents preferred.

  • Clinical licensure preferred.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
