Iowa State University’s Student Counseling Services (SCS) is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to provide a range of psychological services to university students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy within a brief treatment model.

  • Conduct intake interviews and connect students to the appropriate services.

  • Provide crisis intervention and make appropriate referrals to other professionals and community resources.

  • Provide presentations and outreach programming on mental health topics for students, staff, and faculty.

  • Provide supervision to trainees as able based on licensure requirements.

  • Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and services.

This is primarily a Monday-Friday, day hours position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a university clinical setting

  • Experience with group counseling

  • Crisis intervention experience

  • Experience delivering presentations and conducting outreach on mental health topics

  • Independently licensed to provide clinical services
