Clinical Team Leader

 Role Responsibilities

The Youth Crisis Outreach Team (YCOT) Clinical Team Leader will lead a youth team through the Texas Resiliency and Recovery (TRR) model of service delivery for community mental health services. The YCOT Clinical Team Leader will clinically supervise the YCOT Therapists, QMHP staff and Family Partner staff as delegated by the direct supervisor, the Crisis Services Manager. The position will ensure that staff are assessing patients in a timely manner for Crisis Assessments and recommending level of care based on clinical need utilizing the Uniform Assessment process. The Clinical Team Leader will ensure that staff are making every effort to engage patients at the appropriate level of services. The YCOT Clinical Team Leader will develop and monitor processes and reports to ensure the (TRR) process is followed and the services provided are clinically appropriate and fully documented. This will include completing frequent chart reviews with reports given to the Crisis Services Manager and Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Coordinator. The position will provide therapy services to children in the YCOT program per UM guidelines utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Family unity and improving family dynamics is a goal for YCOT therapy. The position will be a part of a multidisciplinary team and participate in case staffing. The position will be responsible for training new employees and completing the required TRR training within specified time periods. The YCOT Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for clinical oversight and compliance with all applicable standards and contract measures for the team they are leading as well as team productivity. The position requires collaboration with MCOT to address youth in crisis and Texana Hotline calls. The position readily accepts additional assignments as requested by the Crisis Services Manager, including direct supervision of the staff in the absence of the Crisis Services Manager. The position reports directly to and is accountable to the Crisis Services Manager and to the MCOT Coordinator. This position works in direct contact with youth and their family covering all of Fort Bend County. The main office location is in Rosenberg, Texas. Routine hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with flexibility to meet program needs. The position is responsible and accountable for adherence to and promotion of the compliance policy.

 Required Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills

       · Master’s in counseling, Psychology or related field

       · Texas license as LCSW, LMFT or LPC 

       · CBT certified or obtain within 6 months of employment

       · Texas driver’s license in good standing as defined by Texana Center’s procedure

       · 2 years post-Masters in the Mental Health field

Preferred Education and/or Certifications, Experience, Skills

       · Spanish speaking

       · At least 1 year of direct crisis experience

Job Related Physical Requirements

       · Must be able to perform SAMA and CPR. 

       · Must be able to perform moderate lifting and carrying (15-44#), pushing, stooping, repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting and twisting. 

      · Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception. 

      · Qualified individuals must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
