Clinical Supervisor

Program & Location: Monarch House - New Bedford, MA

Education: Master/Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work. Independently licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, including: LICSW/LMHC/LMFT/LADC1
Pay Range: $70,720-$87,360 salaried (dependent on education, licensure, and relevant experience)
Status: Full Time, 40hrs/week
Shifts: M-F 8am-4:30pm with the ability to be flexible if needed to support the program

About Us 

SEMCOA's (Southeast Massachusetts Council on Advocacy) mission is to advocate for and provide support to individuals, families, and communities in the areas of substance use, mental illness, domestic violence, homelessness, and parenting. SEMCOA operates four emergency assistance congregate family shelters and additional scattered sites that provide supportive services to families and assist them with securing permanent housing. SEMCOA also provides residential recovery home treatment to individuals with substance use disorders, as well as transitional and permanent housing stability and support programs. Our portfolio also includes two graduate sober houses, the Family Preservation Program, as well as Greater Brockton and Greater Attleboro Taunton Healthy Families programs.    

Clinical Supervisor Requirements

• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion:
• Must have the ability to work with others in a cooperative and collaborative manner.
• TB screening
• Certification in the HPTC approved de-escalation program
• Strong and effective verbal, written and organizational skills
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPTC`s electronic medical records
• Ability to provide leadership and program development within an outpatient site
• Knowledge of major clinical therapeutic models and behavioral health best practice
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Clinical Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement goals and objectives for the program to meet performance specifications
• Implement and review policies and procedure on a regular basis
• Ensure oversight of CBHC/regulatory, including BSAS performance specifications related to management of clinical staff hiring, and scheduling
• Monitoring of adequacy and appropriateness of patient (member) care
• Development of in-service training for staff in collaboration with training coordinators
• Establishment of quality management program in collaboration with Director of CQI/ COO and quality team
• Ensure that clinical activities are carried out in accordance with HPTC’s written plans for quality assurance, utilization review/management and staff growth and development
• Provide supervision to program staff and maintain supervisory notes
• Provide direct services to patients, which will include but not limited to evaluations of patients, individual, group and/or family counseling, crisis management, and aftercare planning.
• Monitoring of program budget, payment models and productivity of clinical staff
• Participate on assigned committees and prepare reports as needed
• Coordinate with other departments/facilities to enhance and ensure quality care
• Participate in budget development and monthly review process
• Routinely review patient charts (open and closed) to ensure that the structure and substance are in accordance with licensing and accreditations standards
• Advertising, interviewing, hiring and training of all new clinical and support staff
• Participate in RFR processes to maintain current programing and development new programming
• Preparation of reports and correspondence in response to licensing and accreditation boards
• Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery within the community
• Provide on- going clinical and daily administration of the Program to ensure quality care
• Insures confidentiality according to 42 CFR part 2 and HIPAA regulations
•  Provide direct client services, carry a minimal case load, if necessary, crisis intervention, assessment and treatment planning skills, case management abilities
• Meet with supervisor (COO/ Program Director) regularly to review all program process issues and all issues pertinent to quality care and organizational health and viability
• Facilitate/participate Multidisciplinary Treatment Team and Utilization Review;
• After-hours/on-call program support for patient clinical emergencies and other program urgent needs on a rotating basis with Clinical Director;
• Support interns seeking placement (based on number of supervisees to determine capacity);
• Collaborate and participate in meetings with other community organizations to enhance communication and service delivery within the community;
• Manage payroll, time off requests, approve timesheets for clinical staff and for PD direct reports as assigned
• Assist with billing issues as needed. 
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Site Director and/or COO.

Clinical Supervisor Qualifications

•  Independently licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, including: LICSW/LMHC/LMFT/ LADC1
• Master/Doctoral degree in Human Services related field such as psychology or social work.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical supervisory experience and five (5) years of behavioral health counseling experience.
