Job DetailsJob Location: Aunt Janets House - Naples, FL 34105Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary*Bilingual preferred

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Social Worker Intern, you will provide supervised mental health services, including individual and group therapy, for children and families across outpatient, school based and community settings with a focus on underserved populations suffering from grief and loss.  This is a grant funded, limited in scope position designed to support Registered Clinical Interns pursuing supervised clinical experience and progression towards LCSW in the State of Florida. 

Responsibility:


Conduct mental health, trauma, and bereavement assessments for children and adults.
Develop trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment plans.
Provide individual, group and/or family counseling.
Facilitate grief workshops in schools and community settings.
Maintain clinical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system.
Education staff, schools and community organizations on childhood grief and mental health.
Collect grant-related data and prepare reports as needed.
Build relationships with schools, counselors and community agencies.
Support and attend children’s grief camps, including overnight camps (required).
Respond to community grief-related crises.
Participate in QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvements), data based outcomes, grant writing opportunities as assigned.
Adhere to all Policies and Procedures of Avow with annual review of policy handbook.
Actively participate in customer engagement experience outcomes.
Complete and remain active as a crowd control manager.
Independently participate in the “A Vow to Volunteer” program.
Meet productivity expectations assigned by the organization.
Cross coverage in Hospice including participation in IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) when coverage is needed.
Maintains the organization and cleanliness of Aunt Janet’s House, the center of Avow Kids.
Submit yearly resume for MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for Collier County Schools and complete all requirements for school access to provide counseling and support to children.
Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s degree in related field required.  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (LCSW Intern) in State of Florida
Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and maintain without expiration during employment.
Crowd Control Manager certification required within 90 days of hire. Must maintain and keep current.

Other Qualifications: Valid Florida driver’s license.

Language Skills:
Communication skills of reading, writing, and speaking in English. Bilingual in English and Spanish (or Creole) highly preferred.

Math Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret tables and bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Position does include day and nighttime driving.
