Overview

To support Trillium Place SUD service-line growth, the Clinical Educator is responsible for developing, implementing and leading evidence-based, quality educational programs and activities which promote individual development and competency among clinical department personnel. Serves as the educator and resource for clinical practice issues and as the orientation resource for all new employees in their assigned areas.
Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Related Field.

 

Work Experience: Behavioral health; Addiction treatment

 

Other Requirements
Must have basic knowledge of adult learning principles and demonstrated ability to facilitate learning in a work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and leads evidence-based, quality educational programs and activities which promote individual development and competency among clinical department personnel.
  • Develops, coordinates and implements activities for orientation/onboarding, clinical application and continuing education/professional development related to system, site and/or specialty.
  • Delivers trainings that reinforce standard workflows, role expectations, systems, tools, operational priorities, performance goals and patient-centered service expectations.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Trillium Place, Carle Health policies, procedures, programs, and systems, as well as applicable healthcare accreditation, regulatory, and compliance standards utilized by the organization.
  • Will perform routine audits to ensure education needs are being addressed for staff. Investigates issues, trends, and supporting data to determine the needs of individuals.
  • Collects data and information to validate an identified gap in professional practice and to determine the specific knowledge, skill, or practice deficit or opportunity needed.
  • Supports the transition of healthcare team members across learning and practice environments, roles, and professional stages within Trillium.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and managers to address issues related to clinical practice and documentation trends. Facilitates practice and documentation changes when needed.
  • Serve as a resource for professional growth for clinical roles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $22.01per hour - $36.76per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
