The School Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in providing direct and indirect clinical support to students, staff, and families. Working closely with the School Clinical Director and other mental health professionals, this role focuses on implementing evidence-based practices, offering crisis intervention, and ensuring that clinical services meet the needs of the school community. The specialist helps to create a supportive, safe, and effective learning environment by coordinating services, assisting with assessments, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Direct Student Support:
- Assist in the delivery of clinical services to students, including individual consultations, small group sessions, and crisis intervention.
- Support behavioral and mental health initiatives by implementing evidence-based interventions under the guidance of licensed clinicians.

Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work in partnership with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify students requiring additional clinical support.
- Coordinate with external mental health agencies and community partners to enhance service delivery and resource availability.

Program Implementation & Evaluation:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and support services.
- Collect and analyze data on student outcomes and program effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvements.

Training & Consultation:
- Provide training and technical support to school staff on recognizing and addressing mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Offer consultation on best practices and intervention strategies, fostering a culture of proactive support.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and clinical interventions.
- Assist with the development and enforcement of policies and procedures related to clinical services and student well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience working in an educational or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with evidence-based clinical practices and mental health interventions in schools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Starting from USD $36.00/Yr.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring the handling of up to 50 pounds or more.
- Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.
- Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students
- Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotional demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well-being
