Position Summary

The Clinical Director is responsible for building and leading a high-performing clinical department that delivers consistent, person-centered services across the organization. This position provides strategic leadership for behavior services, clinical operations, staff development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and service outcomes.

The Clinical Director develops and supports clinical staff, strengthens departmental systems and processes, promotes accountability, and partners with operational leaders to ensure individuals receive high-quality services. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys developing people, building sustainable systems, and driving organizational performance through collaboration and continuous improvement.

 
QualificationsKey Responsibilities


Lead, supervise, and develop Behavior Specialists, clinical staff, and interns.
Establish clear performance expectations, accountability measures, and professional development plans for clinical team members.
Build department capacity through staff development, succession planning, retention efforts, and workforce planning.
Oversee behavior support services and ensure timely completion of assessments, behavior support plans, documentation, and clinical follow-up activities.
Ensure compliance with ODP regulations, licensing requirements, Human Rights Team standards, and organizational policies.
Monitor clinical outcomes, identify trends, and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve service delivery and organizational performance.
Partner with operational leadership to address complex clinical situations, support service quality, and promote positive outcomes for individuals served.
Lead Human Rights Team processes and support ethical, person-centered decision making throughout the organization.
Support crisis response efforts through consultation, coaching, and leadership during significant incidents.
Participate in strategic planning, program development, and organizational growth initiatives.
Develop and monitor departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource utilization.
Represent Shared Wellness in community partnerships, professional networks, and external stakeholder meetings.
Participate in leadership on-call responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Required


Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related human services field.
Pennsylvania clinical licensure, Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist qualification, BCBA certification, or equivalent clinical credential.
Minimum five years of leadership experience supervising clinical professionals, management staff, or interdisciplinary teams.
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Demonstrated success developing teams, improving performance, and implementing organizational systems and processes.
Strong understanding of behavior support, crisis intervention, and person-centered practices.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.


Preferred


Experience leading clinical services within an IDD, behavioral health, or human services organization.
Knowledge of ODP regulations, licensing requirements, and Human Rights Team processes.
Experience with quality improvement, program development, and outcome measurement.
Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
