Job Summary
We are seeking a Florida licensed Mental Health Therapist with a Christian worldview to join our team! Caseload is limited to a maximum of 15 boys in residence. In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist adolescent residents and their families in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. Responsibilities
- Perform intake assessments
- Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
- Create individualized program plans for each client
- Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual sessions
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of resident information and progress plan
- Perform regular wellness checks
- Adhere to all facility and licensing standards
Qualifications
Master's level degree in counseling, social work, or similar field to include Florida licensure in good standing
Master's level degree in counseling, social work, or similar field to include Florida licensure in good standing
- Previous experience as a mental health therapist in a residential setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certified - can be obtained during onboarding
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
- Critical thinking skills, willing to challenge residents and families when necessary
