Overview

Child and adolescent therapist role based at our Saint Anthony clinic, part of a clinician-led nonprofit outpatient practice. You would join an established child therapy team that includes a clinical supervisor, a licensed play therapist, and therapists who specialize in working with parents. Transparent, collections-based compensation (typically 60 to 80 percent net, no cap) and a flexible caseload. More than filling a seat, we are looking to build a great team of clinicians who align with our mission and love this work.

Our current opening is in Saint Anthony, and we are also accepting applications for Edina and Maple Grove, where a new clinic and added capacity open October 1, 2026. Wherever the openings are, we are driven by empowering the right people to do great work. That is what defines our future, and we stay flexible to make room for it, so we want to connect with people who are aligned with us even when the timing isn't exact.

Interested therapists may apply through this posting for any of our locations.

Description

Let's talk about what group practice could actually be.

A lot of therapists we meet have landed somewhere they don't love. Maybe it's a profit-driven group where the caseload keeps creeping up, or a solo setting where you're isolated from peers who actually understand the work. Working with kids and families makes that isolation harder still, because the best child work happens when you have people to think alongside.

We started Vantage Mental Health because we believe group practice can be something different. Real colleagues you can grab for a consult. Psychiatrists and therapists working side by side on shared patients. Leadership at your clinic that has real autonomy. Full transparency about how the business runs and where every dollar goes. We are not backed by private equity. Our decisions are guided by our mission and our people, not by productivity targets or profit margins.

A real child therapy team

This is not a role where you carry pediatric cases on your own. Saint Anthony has a strong, established child therapy team, including a clinical supervisor who knows this work, a licensed play therapist, and therapists who specialize in supporting parents. You would have people to consult with on tough cases, a shared approach to working with families, and child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrists available for collaborative care.

Who thrives at Vantage

The child and family therapists who are happiest here tend to share a few things. You will likely love it here if:

  • You love working with kids and teens, and you can see yourself doing this for years. This is the heart of everything else.
  • You know good child work is family work, and you like partnering with parents and caregivers as much as with the young person in front of you.
  • You want a team around you, a place to think through a hard case, and a full range of outpatient services and expertise behind your clients.
  • You take real pride in your craft. Kids want to come back, parents trust you, and you hold yourself to a high standard.
  • You are always looking to keep learning and growing, whether that is play therapy, a new modality, or a specific population.
  • You want genuine ownership of your own practice, your caseload, and your schedule, with the right support behind you.

What the day-to-day actually looks like

You provide therapy to children, adolescents, and their families, tailored to each client's needs, in person at our Saint Anthony clinic or through telehealth. You build your own caseload and schedule, pick the modalities and ages you're drawn to, and design approaches that fit the young people and families you serve. You have actual peers to consult with, a child team that thinks together, useful case conferences, and a multidisciplinary team including child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrists for collaborative care. There are no caseload minimums beyond what sustains your practice.

Compensation and benefits

Vantage uses a transparent, collections-based compensation model. You see everything that is deducted, and the typical net is 60 to 80 percent of collections, with no cap on earning potential. Our clinicians are W2 employees, not 1099 contractors. Many practices classify therapists as contractors even where an employment relationship is the better fit, and we have chosen to do it the right way. We don't set your hours, and you have the flexibility to define your own work-life balance.

Benefits and other compensation include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid compensation for supervision and consultation, and PSLF eligibility through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status (eligibility is based on nonprofit status and is not a guarantee of approval).
