 Caseworker – Residential Facility 


Location: Columbus Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time (In-person)
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM 


Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Worker to support youth through individualized treatment planning, therapeutic engagement, and structured case management. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safe, supportive environment while promoting emotional and behavioral wellness.

The ideal candidate brings strong documentation skills, therapeutic communication abilities, and a passion for working with adolescents in a structured residential or clinical setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of assigned youth, providing consistent case management and weekly individual sessions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with youth, families, referral sources, and clinical leadership
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions and structured activities as assigned
  • Support a safe, structured environment that promotes positive behavior, social development, and emotional well-being
  • Lead family sessions and skill-building interventions while maintaining appropriate communication with all stakeholders
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation, including:
    • Progress notes
    • Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
    • Treatment Plan Reviews (TPRs)
    • Discharge summaries
    • Incident and court reports
  • Ensure compliance with OhioMHAS standards and internal quality assurance protocols
  • Present clinical updates to families, referral sources, and court representatives when required
  • Plan and support therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities both on-site and in the community
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions to address behavioral challenges
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing trainings
  • Maintain organized client records and electronic documentation in EMR systems


Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field preferred, OR
  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of experience in childcare or youth services


Experience

  • Prior counseling, case management, or behavioral health experience preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents strongly preferred


Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of therapeutic treatment models and trauma-informed care
  • Knowledge of juvenile rehabilitation regulations and best practices
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to build rapport with youth and families
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
