Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a “Great College to Work For,” invites applications from student-centered individuals to join our Student Health & Wellness Team as the Case Manager.  This position is a 10-month appointment, available at the start of the Spring 2027 semester.  The Case Manager position runs from mid-August through mid-May and requires an additional 20 working days during the summer. 

Current Opening

Reporting to the Director of Student Health & Wellness, the Case Manager provides goal-oriented, strength-based support to students experiencing academic, personal, medical, or other challenges that may create barriers to their success. The position assesses student needs, coordinates individualized action plans and referrals, connects students with campus and community resources, and provides ongoing follow-up to promote student persistence, well-being, and success. The Case Manager works collaboratively across Student Health & Wellness, Student Success and Persistence, and with other campus partners to provide coordinated support and an appropriate institutional response to students experiencing varying levels of distress. 

The Case Manager researches and identifies appropriate resources to address student needs and connects students with relevant on- and off-campus support services. Coordinates and monitors action plans, referrals, and support services, including follow-up appointments as necessary.  The Case Manager documents case notes accurately and timely in the electronic record-keeping system and communicates and collaborates professionally with all individuals involved in supporting the student.

The Case Manager coordinates with the Student Health and Wellness Department on outreach and programming initiatives, and participates in assessment efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of case management services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, student affairs, psychology, student development, or other related field degree.  Experience providing support and assistance to individuals experiencing crisis or distress, as well as managing caseloads and coordinating ongoing support required.  Strong working knowledge of mental health services, student development, Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) best practices, higher education law, FERPA, and electronic record-keeping systems preferred.  Prior experience working in the higher education setting is a plus.  

The successful candidate will demonstrate a student-centered, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to supporting students.  Effective assessment, problem-solving, and resource coordination skills are essential to this position. Strong organizational,  interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills are also necessary. The successful candidate must be able to establish trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, as well as recognize when a student requires additional intervention, support, or referral. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, maintain attention to detail orientation, and excel in a fast-paced, high volume office.  Must be able to work collaboratively across internal departments and with external community resources, and also exercise independent thinking.  Should be able to foresee risks and anticipate needs, and make sound decisions.  Ability to quickly and efficiently learn software that is highly utilized within the collegiate Student Health & Wellness space required.  High degree of professionalism and a demonstrated ability to maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality is required.  The successful candidate should be committed to supporting the holistic well-being, persistence, and success of our diverse student population. 

This is a full-time, 10-month, benefit-eligible position. While some flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity for periodic remote days exists, this position is on campus in Cresson, PA, and is not eligible for remote work. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
