About IBH Addiction Recovery

IBH Addiction Recovery, founded in 1970, is a highly effective nonprofit organization and leading provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment in Summit County. We provide evidence-based services including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient Programs, Aftercare support, and Recovery Housing, complemented by spiritual guidance, all intended to offer persons with alcohol and drug addiction, and/or a co-occurring disorder, the opportunity to restore hope and gain skills for a lifetime of sobriety.

At IBH Addiction Recovery, we build our treatment philosophy around four core values: Dignity, Community, Stewardship (Outcomes), and Spirituality. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Case Manager to help us meet the individualized needs of people in recovery and uphold those values.


Job Summary:

The Case Manager provides comprehensive case management for clients in the residential program, and other levels of care if operationally necessary per supervisor. They support clients in improving self-sufficiency and resource connection to benefit recovery. The case manager can role model as they advocate for clients and introduce healthy life skills.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Provides face-to-face services including case management/needs assessments and additional appointments as needed to connect to needed resources.
  2. Assists clients with removing barriers to treatment including assisting with legal and medical clearances.
  3. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide services to, advocate for, and aid in transition planning for clients .
  4. Provides advocacy, education, and/or role modeling related to life skills, resources, and self-sufficiency.
  5. Completes referrals and/or needed linkage to community resources.
  6. Maintains complete and accurate client records, including documenting according to Agency, Federal and State requirements.
  7. Maintains client forms and records in compliance with agency, CARF, and Ohio MHAS standards.
  8. Provides an orientation to clients to introduce them to case management services.
  9. Maintains knowledge of community resources and maintains good working relationships with community providers. This may include vetting of new or unknown providers.
  10. Develops and maintains effective and productive relationships with community providers.

 


  1. Provides group counseling as needed. This may be a regular responsibility and/or an as needed responsibility according to operational need per supervisor.
  2. Completes follow up phone calls or communication for purpose of data collection.
  3. Participates in individual and/or group supervision.
  4. Participates in quality improvement activities and promotes continuous improvement.
  5. Maintains confidentiality of all client and agency information.
  6. Attends staff meetings and/or review monthly staff meeting minutes.
  7. Attends workshops, seminars, and/or agency training to stay current on trends in case management/CPST, community resources, and federal, state, and local regulations required to maintain licensure/certification, and completes internet-based training as instructed by administration.
  8. Performs other duties that may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor.
  9. Drives personal vehicles as necessary to transport clients.
  10. Meets or exceeds established service goals.

Organizational Skills: Information organized and accessible, maintains efficient workspace, manages time well. Interpersonal Skills: Builds strong relationships, is flexible/adaptable, works well with others, solicits feedback.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  1. High School Diploma with some college or professional training in client care required.
  2. CDCA or higher required.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field/degree preferred.
  4. Valid State of Ohio driver’s license with active car insurance.
  5. Minimum of two years of experience with social work or case management preferred.
  6. CPR/First Aid/AED, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training required within first 90-days.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, and other systems.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday during the Agency’s business hours; this position requires periodic evening and some weekends activity/hours.
