FUNCTION: Supervision of an individual caseload. 


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise caseload, handle all discipline
  • Monthly/Termination reports
  • Weekly activity report
  • Discharge reports to agents within timely manner
  • Communication written/verbal to agents and judges
  • Assist in crisis intervention as needed
  • Additional duties assigned by Supervisor

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to express oneself and exchange information both verbally and in writing. The employee is required to work independently so must be able to respond appropriately to deadlines. The employee is frequently required to move about the building. This employee is also required to operate a computer and other office machinery.


Although infrequent, the employee is required to assist other program staff in responding to escalating situations, and therefore must be able to move freely (including bending and twisting) and respond quickly and appropriately to stressful situations, including the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Although infrequent, the employee is required to assist other program staff in conducting client searches and must have the ability to touch and feel for contraband. Although infrequent, the employee is required to assist other program staff in transporting clients.

Accountable To: Vice President, President and KPEP Board of Directors



Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; MCBAP credential or MCBAP PDP within 1 month of hire/promotion. This degree requirement can be waived with 5 years experience with the organization.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years experience working with felony offenders


Excellent verbal and written communications skills, organizational and computer skills Ability to read, write, understand English; (Bilingual Spanish/French/Other preferred) Ability to manage multiple projects

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with accurate results

Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize own work, and coordinate the work of others
