Job Overview:

Coordinate and provide direct support services and referrals to meet the needs of residents, while promoting physical and economical welfare that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate for infants and youth, birth to middle school, including Developmental Screenings, Tutoring Services, Educational Supports, Case Management and After School/Summer activities onsite at Tampa Housing Authority properties.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Recruit, screen and enroll clients into program services.
  • Conduct intake interviews with clients and families.
  • Develop Individual Service Plans.
  • Educate client by explaining program requirements and service options.  
  • Provide a wrap-around system of service and supports to meet and obtain basic human needs. 
  • Monitors service delivery by follow-up interviews with client and/or provider source.
  • Organize and maintain appropriate record maintenance system and documentation.
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations in association with grant activities.
  • Assist with development of program outreach and reporting material.
  • Participate in special event planning and implementation of service fairs and special projects.
  • Assist with coordination of marketing campaigns through multiple media outlets outlining program and support services available through the PPS Department.
  • Assist with coordination of recruitment activities to the target communities and population.
  • Attend seminars, workshops and conferences to increase professional knowledge base and skillset.
  • Other duties as assigned by Program Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Education level

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, or closely related field plus ….

Experience

2 years of work experience in Human Services, Case Management, or Social Work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize and present workshops and training sessions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Facebook, Twitter, etc
  • Knowledge of academic, social, and recreational youth programs
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply THA, HUD and the Children’s Board organizational rules, policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Ability to maintain confidential records in accordance with professional and agency standards and state law
  • Knowledge of Emergency Procedures related to First Aid and CPR
