WCMHS is seeking behavioral interventionists to work with children in early childhood in social, emotional and recreation/leisure skills and activities of daily living in classroom, day treatment and community settings. This includes both individual and group supervision. This role collaborates with treatment teams, school leaders, and internal and external community partners to implement treatment and behavior plans. 

This position helps the community by providing early intervention for individuals at risk for social, emotional, and behavioral needs using evidenced-based approaches that help improve outcomes for the people we serve.

Summary of Duties
• Provide 1 on 1 service at a day treatment program to identified clients
• Provide direct supervision, behavioral support, social skill building and daily living skills to identified clients
• Support academic instruction and other learning activities within and outside the school setting
• Develop positive and therapeutic working relationships with youth, families, and staff
• Assess and record behavior in an accurate, detailed and timely manner to agency standards and specifications
• Provide transportation to and from community activities, mental health appointments, and possibly school

Compensation and Benefits

WCMHS provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and industry-leading paid time off. For school-based positions this includes 12.5 paid and flexible holidays plus 12 paid sick days per year, starting in the first year. School-based positions do have additional paid time off based on a variety of factors and oriented around school calendars.

The starting pay range for this position is $23.83 to $24.80 per year.
QualificationsSummary of Qualifications


High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree human services, education or psychology preferred
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated strong communication skills
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle required
Ability and willingness to be trained in and use restraints as needed
Ability to deliver services and complete treatment notes in English


Workplace Conditions

Work takes place in school and community settings. Frequent transportation of clients in your own vehicle. It is sometimes necessary to utilize restraints as trained and directed by supervision team. Stretches of extended computer use.
