POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Behavioral Health Services Manager will lead the implementation of  World Relief Spokane’s Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) service line expansion. This position provides trauma-informed care, oversees program delivery, supports staff and  volunteers, and ensures high-quality, culturally responsive services that strengthen the  mental health and well-being of refugee and immigrant families.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
  • Oversee design, delivery, and evaluation of MHPSS group interventions (First Aid Arts, Hope Groups, Amal for Children). 
  • Manage program logistics, calendar, and participant recruitment.
  • Facilitate psychosocial groups; conduct intakes, assessments, and referrals.
  • Provide training and reflective supervision for staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Build partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.
  • Track outcomes using validated tools; prepare reports for funders and leadership.
  • Ensure program compliance with policies, ethical standards, and funding requirements. 
  • Other relevant duties as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards 
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Mental Health Counseling required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in social work, mental health, or program management post graduation.
  • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or multicultural populations.
  • Successful completion of background check. 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Commitment to World Relief’s mission and values. 
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
  • Group facilitation and training experience with diverse populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and case management systems. 
  • Bilingual skills (especially in refugee languages) are strongly preferred; membership in a key client community. 
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Washington State preferred.

$31.30 - $33.30 an hour
