JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Professional II

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt                                                 

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health Services                                                  

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Behavioral Health Services Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:  
Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.

Two (2) years’ experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances: OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice.

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:
Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services

Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care

Experience supporting individuals in education and employment

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and dependable transportation

Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail)

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed

Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences

Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication 

 

SALARY:

$20.80 per hour starting rate
