Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Behavioral Health Service Department.  Duties will include assisting the Behavioral Health team with ensuring referrals are scheduled, assigned, and completed in a timely manner.  Answering telephone calls and assisting patients with scheduling and other information related to behavioral health services. Ensure lines of communication remain open with the Behavioral Health team and the clinical staff seeking referrals for their patients.  Responsibilities include assisting with program compliance, internal and external referrals, scheduling appointments, departmental data analytics and insurance verification. The Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator will interface with the Billing staff to ensure accuracy of documentation for clean claims and maximum reimbursement.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Behavioral Health Services Teams with scheduling appointments and incoming referrals for services
  • Follow up in eCW to ensure Behavioral Health providers are receiving and completing referrals in a timely fashion
  • Track referrals and analyze data as required
  • Communicate and collaborate with providers, nurses, social workers, and all members of the multidisciplinary health care team as needed to facilitate patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress toward services plans and goals.
  • Act as secondary source for supporting the MAT/CHW team and grant tracking, data entry and required reporting.
  • Maintain familiarity with program compliance
  • Assist with monthly clinical reports and accounting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 

 

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years’ experience administrative services and customer service
