Starting Pay Range: $35.15/hr. – $45.70/hr., depending on experience
Position Status: Part-time, non-exempt
Shift: Day

Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Counselor provides comprehensive behavioral health services to patients within a rural healthcare setting, including assessment, counseling, treatment planning, and care coordination within the scope of licensure. This position works collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary care team members to deliver integrated, patient-centered care, support patients experiencing behavioral health needs or crises, and connect patients with appropriate medical, behavioral health, and community resources.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field
Current, active Colorado licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and counseling skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize effectively
Compassion, empathy, and respect for diverse populations
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient and organizational needs
Proficiency with electronic health records and standard office software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing behavioral health services in a clinical or community setting
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience in a rural or integrated care setting
