Job Requirements

Position Title - Behavioral Health Clinician II - Inpatient (Full-time)

Work Hours - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 8:00-4:30 pm

In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the Inpatient Behavioral Health Clinician II is responsible for completing: Psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress towards treatment goals. Responsible for facilitating family meetings, group therapy, and brief individual therapy when indicated. Serves as primary educator on topics of mental illness/mental health to patients and/or his/her family members. Initiates coordination for discharge and aftercare services.



Work Experience

Education & Training: Currently licensed as an LCSW-C or LCPC in the state of Maryland.

Work Orientation & Experience: Minimum of two years clinical experience working with individuals with chronic mental illness required. Experience working in an acute care clinical setting and with case management preferred. 

Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge/skills of behavioral health clinical work in a variety of settings: a) Completing psychosocial assessments, b) provision of group and individual psychotherapy, c) developing and implementing discharge and aftercare plans, d) coordinating services for patient/family with community providers including knowledge of community resources, Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurances, e) demonstrate effective critical thinking, f) professional and effective written and verbal communication, g) prioritize work assignments and manage time effectively to complete duties; and h) work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Demonstrate ability to: a) communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers (colleagues, Medical Staff, liaisons, and patient/family), b) assess, adapt, and calmly respond to changing and/or crisis environment; c) make independent decisions consistent with current policies, procedures, health care and ethical standards; and d) be available to adapt hours to meet the needs of all customers and department.

Pay Range: $33.36 - 46.70
