Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Four-year degree in social work, child development, criminal justice, or related field preferred. If no degree, 5 years related experience required.
- Prior experience in victim advocacy and/or service delivery to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
- Maintain valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigations).
Role and Responsibilities
Assists in the strategic direction of Summit shelter services by ensuring the overall safety and success of operations, including the implementation of policies and procedures, staff supervision, and overseeing quality assurance measures.
Develops and oversees the implementation and evaluation of shelter programming and services, goals, and objectives, ensuring the quality of services delivered to the survivors through monitoring and supervision.
Oversees daily operations of the Summit shelter facilities, including inventory management, kitchen coordination, and ensuring a safe, well-functioning environment for residents and staff.
Along with the Director of Shelter and Housing Services, leads management team meetings for successful completion of all programmatic goals, grant requirements, and agency’s expectations.
Assists with day-to-day operations including providing hotline coverage, shelter coverage, maintaining/contributing to health and safety of everyone in shelter, transporting survivors when needed; facilitates problem-solving of in-house conflicts, and encourages and models positive shelter interactions by connecting with each survivor daily.
Provides continued training and on-boarding of shelter staff, interns, and volunteers.
Compile statistics as required by funding sources and agency requirements. Complete all grant and reporting requirements as requested.
Represents Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center by participating in community activities, coalitions and taskforce groups as requested or assigned by supervisor.
Adheres to Service Excellence standards at all times.
Complies with agency policies and procedures, federal and state requirements, CARF standards and educational/certification/registry requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- Participates in supervisor on-call rotation to provide support and guidance to shelter and hotline staff.
