Summary, Job Description, and Qualifications
Job Title:                                Associate Director of Support Services

Reports To:                            TVN Family Services Program Director

Direct Reports:                      Kinship Supervisor, Family Support Specialists


Summary:

As a partner in building brighter futures for youth and their families, your role will be to provide direct supervision to the family support division of TVN Family Services, aligning with  The Village Network’s Mission, Vision & Values.

 

Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:


Assures the implementation of all contractional obligations outlined in the Provision of Continuum of Child Welfare Services with Franklin County Children Services (FCCS.)
In conjunction with other program leadership, assures child welfare program, especially Kinship and Independent Living departments, remain in compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), Ohio Revised Code (ORC), FCCS, Council on Accreditation (COA), and TVN requirements.
Oversees provider relations and vendor contracts for out of home care and the therapeutic visitation program; Works with Program Leadership to implement family driven evidence based practices that enhance service delivery and promote positive outcomes.
Facilitates individual progress and communication meetings with direct reports; Leads department meetings; Attends and contributes to monthly regional leadership meetings;
Performs utilization management for the MCE; Collects, analyzes and shares information relevant for program evaluation
Serves on agency committees including COA, safety, and peer review
In partnership with the Director of Performance Review, serves as a client’s rights officer for the program; Receives, investigates, and recommends resolution for grievances and complaints.
Provides oversight of all transportation, visitation, and parent-support functions of the TVN Family Services program. Provides direct supervision of personnel who provide independent living support and family support specialists; Schedules and assures completion of daily work assignments.
Schedules and manages TVN Family Services case management on-call rotation;
Performs other duties as required.


 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Ability to use a computer; familiarity with Word, Outlook, and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, Master’s preferred; previous relevant management experience required; 5 years previous experience working in child welfare.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork, organizational and time management skills necessary; willingness to be flexible.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows that individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing The Village Network with vehicle insurance. 


 

Physical Demands:


Ability to comply with The Village Network requirements for using restraints including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training.
Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.
Must be able to remain alert to problems, needs or emergencies that might arise on any shift, maintaining a safe environment for the clients.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all levels or personnel, internal and external to the company.
