SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Provides leadership and oversight to each program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and agency policies and procedures.
  • Provides supervision of direct reports, complete annual evaluations.
  • Assists Senior Director to oversee the fiscal operation of the programs within regulatory and agency policies and procedures.
  • Assists Senior Director in maintaining the programs within budgetary guidelines. Monitor reports on operations and assist with budget preparation.
  • Collaborates with program management and Human Resources to manage the candidate selection workflow process.
  • Interviews and hire staff in collaboration with program leadership; ensure completion of evaluations within agency guidelines.
  • Collaborates in identifying potential candidates for admission, screening, and placement of individuals.
  • Participates in workgroups and committees within the agency as well as within the wider provider networks.
  • Ensures the PWW supervisor maintains communication with all Hub sites, collects monthly paperwork, attends required meetings, and supports Hub sites and Day Habilitation staff with suggested activities and supplies as needed.
  • Ensures maintenance of up-to-date confidential people supported files, personnel files, and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensures maintenance of physical plant in collaboration with the Building Manager.
  • Ensures provision of on-going staff development and training; encourage professional growth for staff.
  • Ensuring reporting of all incidents, utilizing the chain of command; ensure notification to oversight agencies as per policy and procedure.
  • Assists Senior Director to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and timely billing in accordance with agency guidelines and OPWDD regulations.
  • Supervises and oversee payroll for direct reports to ensure completion and submission within requisite timeframes.
  • Serves as liaison with families, providing support and assistance as requested or needed.
  • Oversee disciplinary process ensuring all disciplinary action and supervision are documented and secured in each employee personnel file. Including partnership with HR to recommend employees for track of termination of employment.
  • Maintains close relationships with DDRO/OPWDD; cognizant of changes in regulatory practice and ensure communication to program staff.
  • Reviews and signs of all Life Plans
  • Perform all duties as assigned or requested by the Senior Director or designee.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MSW preferred.
  • Strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Computer literate.
  • Has a valid NYS Driver’s License

Interact with city and state agencies and other providers in a variety of forums; maintain relationships with families and correspondents; provide supervision and mentoring in a positive and supportive manner.
