Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full-Time Community Support Services (CSS) Assistant Director to join our leadership team in Millville, NJ.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed behavioral health professional who is passionate about leadership, community mental health, case management, recovery services, and helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life.

As the Assistant Director of Community Support Services, you'll play a key role in program oversight, staff supervision, clinical support, and quality improvement initiatives while helping ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centered behavioral health services throughout the community.

What You'll Do

As the Community Support Services Assistant Director, you'll help oversee daily program operations while supporting staff and ensuring clients receive comprehensive community-based services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the oversight and administration of Community Support Services programs
  • Providing supervision, support, and guidance to case management staff
  • Supporting community integration, rehabilitation, and recovery-focused services
  • Conducting rehabilitation assessments and service planning
  • Providing crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations
  • Conducting field supervision and staff coaching
  • Assisting with representative payee fund management and administrative processes
  • Promoting recovery-oriented, person-centered care throughout the program

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field
  • Active New Jersey Licensure:
    • LSW
    • LAC
    • LAMFT
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience
  • Minimum two years of mental health or behavioral health experience
  • Knowledge of community resources, behavioral health systems, and support services
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with acceptable driving history

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible 40-hour schedule
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish-English bilingual skills
  • Experience in community-based behavioral health programs
  • Experience with case management, rehabilitation services, or community support services
  • Experience in quality improvement and program compliance
