Position Overview

The Admissions Admin Assistant helps support our Admissions team, which is the first point of contact for all new clients seeking treatment at The Emily Program. The Admissions Admin Assistant works closely with the team to help complete admin tasks for all incoming clients, ensuring accurate profile completion, and helping to prioritize and coordinate requests coming into the team as well. These requests can come from clients, internal/external providers, and those who have loved ones struggling with their eating. The Admissions Admin Assistant manages the administrative details of the intake experience so clients can focus efforts on recovery. 

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • Monday-Friday 10:30a-7p

Compensation Disclosure:

  • Admissions Admin Assistant: Salary hourly range between $37,000-42,000

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

 

How Admissions Admin Assistant Empower Recovery

  • Respond to inquiries from prospective clients, referring providers and concerned loved ones and encourage them (or their clients/loved ones) to pursue eating disorder treatment and recovery at The Emily Program.
  • Work to complete all incoming client’s profiles with accuracy and ensure they receive all needed information prior to their scheduled appointments
  • Prioritize all incoming tasks by urgency and work with the team to ensure they are all being completed in a timely manner 
  • Help organize tasks for the Admissions Specialists for clients that need to be outreached to throughout each day while also helping outreach as needed
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency by thinking and acting quickly to coordinate logistics around clients determined to need priority admission to higher levels of care and the ability to clearly communicate this course of action to the client.
  • Shift responsibilities to meet the current demand of the team based on call volumes, which could include making outbound calls to help reach team goals 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a human services-focused field i.e social work, psychology, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience of healthcare experience preferred.   
  • 2+ years of experience with direct client service preferred (employment or volunteer capacity).
  • Experience in mental health care and eating disorder treatment preferred.
  • Experience with insurance companies and insurance terminology preferred
