Responsibilities: The statewide Children’s Trauma Initiative Coordinator reports to the Families Forward Supervisor. The Coordinator will coordinate and supervise all day-to-day aspects of the statewide evidence-based practices training initiative. This includes developing and monitoring all aspects of the project implementation, including program development, planning, fidelity monitoring, continuous quality improvement, and evaluation activities. It would further include managing the budget, developing project work plans, and reporting on program accomplishments and activities. This position would include extensive collaboration with MDHHS, national training consultants, and in-state trainers/consultants to develop and execute implementation and evaluation activities. Also, included would be the development and management of all MDHHS requested learning collaboratives as well as work with other state sponsored EBP Coordinators on the development, implementation of a Children’s EBP Conference. This position also includes hiring and supervising staff funded by the MDHHS Grant. This position is MDHHS funded.

Requirements:  Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college/university required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential required; for example, LMSW. Three years of post-graduate clinical experience with children/adolescents and families required within the Community Mental Health System. At least one year of work experience in a lead position or progressively more responsible position required. Experience in macro practice around implementing trauma and/or other children’s evidence-based practices and demonstration of abilities collaborating with MDHHS and other communities required.  Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally required. A philosophical commitment to community and strength-based treatments is a must. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.

Salary/Hours:  Starting salary $66,711-$77,605 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of  $99,689 per year. 40 hours per week. Regular Full-Time.
