School Mental Health Professional

Education and Training

 An earned master’s degree from a college or university accredited by the Council of Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Professional Counseling.  

Licenses and Certifications 

1. Must possess or be able to acquire, by the time of appointment to the position, a license issued by the Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Professional Counseling. 2. Must possess or be able to acquire, by the time of appointment to the position, a K–12 School Mental Health Professional license issued by the Nevada Department of Education (NDE). 3. Applicant/employee must be able to provide their own transportation.
